Position Overview :
The Commodity Manager is responsible for implementing the sourcing strategy and making informed sourcing decisions that balance continuity, risk, total landed costs, cycle time, on-time delivery, and product quality. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and suppliers to optimize purchasing, improve processes, and drive cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage all aspects of purchasing, sourcing, and supplier relationship management for indirect categories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that improve quality, streamline schedules, standardize processes, and reduce costs.
- Lead RFx activities (RFPs, RFQs, etc.) to identify and evaluate alternative suppliers, ensuring uninterrupted supply of goods and services.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and cultivate partnerships with both new and existing suppliers.
- Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends, sharing knowledge with team members and business partners.
- Assess supplier capabilities and develop sources for new technologies and market opportunities in line with evolving business requirements.
- Ensure all purchasing activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, while safeguarding the company's interests and securing the best value, balancing price, quality, and delivery.
