Job Summary:
We are looking for a Contracts and Procurement Manager to manage procurement, contracting, and supply chain operations for solar energy project development and construction. This role will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and managing procurement related to Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and select suppliers for EPC services related to solar balance of systems, substations, switchyards, and transmission lines.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key suppliers to guarantee a dependable supply chain.
- Lead the entire sourcing process, from RFI to contract execution.
- Negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, quality standards, and risk management.
- Analyze the cost structure of solar projects and identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimization.
- Monitor industry trends and pricing fluctuations in the solar sector.
- Develop strategies to minimize procurement costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Implement quality control measures for incoming materials and equipment and resolve quality issues with suppliers.
- Optimize the supply chain to reduce lead times and streamline procurement processes.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including environmental standards and import/export requirements.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and certification requirements.
- Prepare RFPs, manage bid schedules, and evaluate vendor proposals to identify cost-competitive pricing and opportunities for savings.
- Oversee contract administration, including change management and dispute resolution, while promoting collaboration, transparency, and integrity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- 5 years of experience in procurement, EPC contracting, or a similar role in renewable energy, with a focus on corporate procurement, engineering, and services.
- Preferred (but not required): Knowledge of solar technologies, equipment, and industry trends.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with a focus on sustainability and risk management.
- Solid understanding of procurement principles, contract drafting, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proficiency in technology and data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software, including ERP systems (e.g., Procore), procurement software, or data analytics tools.
- Ability to travel domestically (less than 10% of the time).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to continuous process improvement.
Salary : $110,000 - $135,000
