Job Title: Director, External Manufacturing Procurement- Drug Substance
Location: King of Prussia, PA (minimum 2 days on-site)
Job Description: A leading, global pharmaceutical company is looking for a Director of Procurement for Drug Substances and External Manufacturing.
This Role Will Be Responsible For:
- Developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives for vaccine drug substance manufactured externally
- Negotiating complex deal with CMOs for the commercial supply of drug substance
- Analyzing market intel to make decisions and solve problems
- Maintaining and developing realationships with key internal stakeholders to support supply chain and the wider business
- Setting financial budgets for contract manufacturing, including volume forecasting and pricing negotiations
- Monitoring and improving key performance metrics for CMOs
- Managing and optimizing commercial risk profiles and upholding to procurement policies and procedures
- Motivating and developing a strong performing team
This Role Needs the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - ideally in supply chain, business, engineering or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8 years experience within procurement and managing large molecule and vaccine drug substance from CMOs*
- Experience leading teams across projects
- Maintain strong internal and external networks
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Salary : $150,000 - $190,000
