Job Title: Automation Controls Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Automation Controls Engineer to develop and support various aspects of the controls schema for our client. The primary focus will be on new equipment, equipment upgrades, maintenance troubleshooting, and IT connectivity for SCADA purposes. Additionally, you will identify, research, and analyze new automation, controls, and sensor opportunities to enhance and advance the company's capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and specify new and upgraded equipment controls.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Integrate equipment with IT systems for SCADA purposes.
• Identify and address upgrades and deficiencies in existing automation on the production floor.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Controls, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of PLC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Skills:
• Proficiency with CAD systems, SCADA, Kepware, and MS Office components.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC programming suite, motion controller programming, and networking/communication protocols used with industrial controllers (Ethernet/IP, OPC, etc.).
• Training: Any additional specialized training relevant to the position.
