Job Title: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt to lead strategic continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations in the Greater DFW area. This role will serve as a change agent, collaborating across functions to drive operational excellence and process improvements aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead high-impact Lean Six Sigma projects from conception to completion to improve process quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving workshops (Kaizen events, value stream mapping, etc.).
- Mentor and coach Green Belts and project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and present project updates, recommendations, and business cases to leadership.
- Ensure alignment of improvement efforts with strategic goals and KPIs.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.
- Promote Lean culture through training, standard work, 5S, and visual management practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Science, or related technical field.
- 4 to 10 years of related work experience in manufacturing or process improvement roles, preferably in the building materials or related heavy industrial sector.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required (ASQ, IASSC, or equivalent).
- Proven track record of leading successful LSS projects with measurable ROI.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with ERP and manufacturing systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) a plus.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the building materials industry (e.g., concrete, gypsum, roofing, insulation, glass, etc.).
- Working knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems.
- Exposure to TPM, SMED, and other advanced lean methodologies.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
