Title: Materials Specialist
Location: Bern, KS OR Pawnee City, NE
Salary: $65-70k plus bonus
Company Profile: A world-leading food manufacturing company is looking to add a Materials specialist to the team. This person will be responsible for strategically executing material releases from POCs to support the plant production schedule at both optimal inventory levels and costs.
The Materials Specialist will Be Responsible For the Following:
- Strategically plans and executes material releases to meet production requirements preventing schedule changes and supporting customer requirements
- Proactively monitors inventory levels for upcoming runs
- Identifies and executes opportunities to minimize inbound freight costs as well as opportunities to reduce inventory
- Identify risks in the material plan and communicate to the appropriate stakeholders as well as mitigate and escalate to get support as needed
- Collaborate with the materials team to improve fill rates, schedule attainment and adherence metrics
The Materials Specialist Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- 1-3 years minimum experience
- Basic working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Problem solving mindset
- Willingness to work collaboratively
- A customer centric focus, defining customers as both internal and external
This is a full time permanent position that will be 5x a week in the office and can be based in either Pawnee City, NE OR Bern, KS.
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
