DSJ Global is currently partenered with a leading Aerospace organization looking to add a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to their growing team in Newport News, Virginia. Reporting to the Facility Engineering Team Leader, this role provides engineering support to meet business objectives, ensuring safe operations while assisting production, maintenance, and administration teams in achieving plant goals.
Job Summary :
- Apply engineering principles to design, modify, or develop facilities, equipment, and processes to improve manufacturing and maintenance productivity.
- Manage capital and expense projects, developing scopes, budgets, timelines, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Specify and implement new production equipment or modify existing systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors for equipment procurement and installation.
- Test newly installed equipment to meet contract specifications.
- Provide maintenance engineering and troubleshooting support.
- Supervise contractor work and ensure safety practices.
- Lead EHS policy implementation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company EHS policies.
