The DSJ Global company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microbiology Supervisor to manage and supervise staff, oversee in-process and finished product testing, and handle fermentation seed culture preparation and testing within the Quality Control department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Interview, hire, train, and assess staff competency to ensure seamless workflow and efficient laboratory operations.
- Quality Control: Manage daily testing schedules and review internal lab data for accuracy to maintain high-quality standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Lead laboratory investigations and ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) as Study Director.
- Training and Development: Provide staff development, performance reviews, and corrective counseling to support employee growth and advancement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field; 7 years of relevant experience.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leader adept at coaching, mentoring, and developing talent to drive success in the microbiology department.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication, public speaking, and writing skills to build strong relationships with internal/external customers.
