Role Summary :
We are seeking a Packaging Procurement Manager to oversee packaging expenditures, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-effective packaging strategies across our internal production facilities and co-manufacturing partners. This role involves researching packaging market trends, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring efficiency in procurement while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Research and analyze packaging materials, pricing fluctuations, and cost trends.
- Develop cost models based on upstream feedstocks and commodity pricing.
- Oversee direct and indirect packaging expenses across diverse product categories.
- Track and implement strategic purchasing initiatives for packaging materials.
- Generate and maintain key performance metrics for the packaging category.
- Work alongside packaging engineers to address and resolve packaging-related challenges.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to enhance cost savings and product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D-for vendor approvals and management.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process for packaging procurement.
- Support supplier negotiations and manage contract execution.
- Drive cost and production efficiencies through process optimization initiatives.
- Ensure periodic packaging inventory reconciliation with manufacturing partners.
- Contribute to developing and expanding sustainable packaging solutions.
