Summary: The Quality Assurance Specialist - Administers policies & procedures that cover functional areas in quality assurance. Ensures employees in functional areas follow established procedures and ensures the company's compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. They will coordinate, direct, and manage the activities related to meeting all standards established by applicable laws or regulations, and those established by the company.
The Quality Assurance Specialist - should have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- HACCP, SQF, or similar accreditation is preferred.
- Three to Five years' experience leading quality assurance programs within the food and beverage industry.
- Knowledge of FDA, USDA, and state/local regulatory standards and programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
The Quality Assurance Specialist - will:
- Be responsible for assuring quality compliance at manufacturing and support facilities with additional responsibility for the safety and quality compliance of products.
- Manage quality processes within facilities.
- Oversee product testing and inspection in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Evaluate the impact of regulations and standards on site operations.
- Coordinate routine testing and monitoring as required.
- Identify the need for outside support, develop scope of work and contracts.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs and policies.
- Conduct training on quality assurance procedures and standards.
- Assist facility management in investigation and analysis of quality issues, root cause, and corrective actions.
- Monitor program compliance and conduct audits for quality assurance.
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
