Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and supplies for food manufacturing.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure the availability of high-quality raw materials.
- Collaborate with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and finance, to align procurement activities with business goals.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards in all procurement activities.
- Analyze procurement data and prepare reports to inform decision-making and strategy development.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
