The Opportunity:
Our client, a Fortune 500 industry leader in sustainable packaging, is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Engineer to lead high-impact projects that enhance production efficiency, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure compliance with the highest safety and engineering standards. In this role, you will drive critical capital projects from concept to completion, utilizing your expertise in mechanical and process engineering to transform their operations.
Work Scope:
- Lead and execute multidisciplinary capital projects that align with business objectives, ensuring scope, budget, and time lines are met.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing performance, safety, and sustainability.
- Perform feasibility studies, engineering calculations, cost estimates, and scheduling to support project planning and execution.
- Oversee construction, contractor performance, and compliance with safety protocols to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Support long-term strategic planning by contributing to a comprehensive five-year capital plan.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to provide technical expertise and engineered solutions that drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain rigorous document control standards, ensuring technical drawings and specifications are accurately managed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical or related) - required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy industrial or process-driven environments.
- Proven success in managing capital projects, with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
- Experience in pulp & paper, manufacturing, or similar industries is highly desirable.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
