Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of microbiologists, overseeing quality control processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance in the Quality Control department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of microbiologists to achieve high-quality results and meet project deadlines.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and other relevant regulations to protect the integrity of research data.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field; 7 years of relevant experience.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leader adept at coaching, mentoring, and developing talent to drive success in the microbiology department.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication, public speaking, and writing skills to build strong relationships with internal/external customers.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze statistics, identify trends, and perform cost/benefit analysis to optimize resource allocation.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Aseptic Technique, bacterial-based assays, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
