We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to join our team and manage key functions in materials management, ensuring the efficient movement of raw materials to finished goods while meeting production and delivery requirements. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end materials management process, focusing on production planning, inventory control, logistics, and supplier management. This role is essential in ensuring that production schedules are met, supply chain disruptions are minimized, and continuous improvements are made to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Lead and manage production scheduling to ensure timely delivery of finished goods in alignment with customer demand and production requirements.
- Collaborate with production teams to develop and maintain accurate schedules for raw material requisition and finished goods production.
- Forecast and plan for raw material needs to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
Materials Management:
- Oversee the movement of raw materials to finished goods, ensuring smooth transitions between each stage of the production process.
- Ensure the accurate tracking and inventory of raw materials, components, and finished goods, maintaining optimal stock levels to meet production demands without excess inventory.
Logistics Management:
- Manage and optimize logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials from suppliers to manufacturing plants.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline transportation, reduce lead times, and lower logistical costs.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Partner with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality materials in line with production requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance, address quality issues, and develop strategies to improve on-time delivery, quality, and overall supplier performance.
Risk Mitigation & Problem-Solving:
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions, developing contingency plans to minimize operational impacts.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to quickly address and resolve any supply chain issues or disruptions, ensuring production schedules are maintained and any impacts to the business are minimized.
- Develop strategies and processes to prevent future disruptions and drive continuous improvements in supply chain efficiency.
KPIs & Performance Improvement:
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain function, focusing on production timelines, inventory turnover, supplier quality, and on-time delivery.
- Analyze supply chain performance and lead initiatives to improve performance in all areas, with an emphasis on cost reduction, lead time improvement, and risk management.
Continuous Improvement:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, applying lean principles and supply chain best practices to optimize processes and drive efficiency.
- Lead projects to implement improvements and innovations in materials management, production planning, inventory management, and supplier collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- APICS Certification, Lean Six Sigma Methodologies considered a plus
- 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on materials management, production planning, inventory management, and logistics in a Tier 1 manufacturing environment.
- 5 years of experience managing direct reports
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues, assess risks, and implement effective solutions.
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and ensure on-time, high-quality deliveries.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
