- Developing and Implementing Process Improvements: Identifying opportunities to improve material savings and efficiencies, and proposing changes to equipment or processes.
- Managing Project Teams: Managing vendors, contractors, and plant personnel to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintaining Equipment: Identifying and implementing changes to equipment to address safety and health concerns.
- Vendor Communication: Communicating with equipment vendors and manufacturers on technical specifications, project timelines, and budget estimates.
- Technical Analysis: Performing technical analysis to determine equipment specifications, capacity limitations, and maintenance requirements.
- Project Execution: Planning and executing projects within the facility while ensuring safety and food safety standards.
- Supplier Evaluation: Evaluating and selecting equipment suppliers to meet process and packaging needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Engaging in continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing processes, technology, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA Preferred).
- 4-6 years of demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- 3-5 years of experience with Engineering Projects Management or Execution.
- Technical system analysis, design skills, technical understanding, process improvement, CAD, manufacturing methods and procedures, preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of process equipment, including food ingredients storage, conveying of powders and liquid ingredients, continuous and batch mixing processes, extrusion, cooling, and coating processes.
