Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of customer shipments and returns to ensure seamless delivery operations.
- Lead a team to optimize workflows and maintain strong communication with stakeholders to achieve business and customer objectives.
- Supervise the flow of shipment information between warehouses and transport providers, ensuring compliance with distribution processes and timely communication.
- Manage the assignment and coordination of transport providers to execute shipment schedules effectively.
- Monitor transportation capacity and ensure on-time performance for pickups and deliveries.
- Oversee lead times for the planning and execution of pending deliveries to meet customer commitments.
- Address and resolve operational issues affecting deliveries and returns, ensuring service quality and adherence to customer appointments.
- Control and report on delivery and return performance, analyze outcomes, and recommend opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to enhance delivery and return procedures, identifying gaps and proposing solutions for improvement.
- Maintain regular communication with carriers and customers to streamline logistics processes and improve service levels.
- Facilitate cross-departmental coordination, particularly with Order Management, Sales, and Planning teams, to enhance delivery and return efficiencies.
- Support leadership in meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Research and implement process enhancements to improve team productivity and operational efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
- Lead efforts to develop, stabilize, and optimize transportation networks, including the analysis of customer transportation flows and identification of dynamic routing opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
- 5-7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or a related environment is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in managing people and teams is required.
- Strong understanding of the interaction between logistics systems, processes, operations, warehousing, transportation, and order management.
- Proven ability to implement processes and motivate teams using effective interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience collaborating with distribution center personnel, sales teams, operations managers, third-party logistics providers, transportation teams, and corporate staff.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and open dialogue.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of the appliance or related industries is advantageous but not required.
- High level of decision-making independence and problem-solving ability.
- Working knowledge of warehousing and transportation fundamentals.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong leadership skills in managing staff and overseeing operations.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
