Warehouse Manager
Position Overview:
The Warehouse Manager plays a vital role in the supply chain team by providing leadership and driving continuous improvement to ensure on-time delivery to customers. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, managing personnel, optimizing processes, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees while establishing and managing operational goals.
Maintain key operating metrics and analyze data to assess performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop warehouse operations processes, including product handling, storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory accuracy, and lot code rotation.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards, procedures, and compliance with legal regulations.
Act as an operations liaison for new technology innovation and implementation.
Design and implement effective warehouse layouts to optimize product flow, equipment usage, and handling systems.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and cost savings, evaluating and prioritizing potential initiatives.
Develop, audit, and control the department budget, ensuring operational costs remain within the plan.
Coordinate logistics for domestic and international shipments.
Communicate with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Solutions, Supply Chain, and Operations, regarding shipment status and urgency.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business Administration is preferred.
5 years of experience in a similar role.
Expertise in inventory management, logistics, regulatory compliance, productivity improvement, and operational planning.
Familiarity with standardized goals, metrics, quantifiable KPIs, and performance-based incentive programs.
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and the ability to analyze large datasets to drive process improvements.
Extensive experience with TMS & WMS (SAP required).
Data-driven, fact-based decision-maker with strong collaboration skills and high integrity.
Working knowledge or certifications related to DOT/IATA/Dangerous Goods is a plus.
Salary : $75,000 - $110,000
