DSL Express is seeking a reliable and hardworking Loader to join our logistics team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain. As a Loader, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading items from trucks, trailers, and other transport vehicles, ensuring shipments are handled with care and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Loading and Unloading Goods: Safely and efficiently load and unload shipments from various transport vehicles, ensuring items are correctly placed and secured for transit.

Freight Handling: Handle all shipments with care to prevent damage during loading, transport, and unloading processes.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Equipment Operation: Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other necessary equipment to assist in the loading/unloading process. (Training will be provided for those without prior experience.)

Collaboration: Work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and other team members to coordinate schedules and ensure timely deliveries.

Inventory Checks: Verify that items being loaded or unloaded match shipping and delivery documentation to maintain accuracy in inventory.

Maintaining Work Areas: Keep the loading dock and surrounding areas clean, organized, and free from hazards to facilitate efficient operations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or loading role is advantageous but not required.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory (training can be provided).

Basic understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
