Position Overview:
A General Handyman is responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role involves hands-on work in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs. The ideal candidate is versatile, self-motivated, and able to work independently to resolve issues efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance and Repairs: Perform basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance tasks as needed.
- Installations: Install fixtures, appliances, shelving, doors, and other items across various types of properties.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify issues, diagnose problems, and develop effective repair solutions across a wide range of systems and structures.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure systems and fixtures are functioning properly and prevent future issues.
- Minor Plumbing and Electrical Work: Address minor plumbing issues such as leaks or blockages and handle basic electrical repairs like replacing light fixtures or outlets.
- Painting and Drywall Repairs: Handle minor cosmetic repairs, including painting and patching drywall.
- Outdoor Maintenance: Perform tasks such as fence repairs, deck maintenance, minor landscaping, and gutter cleaning.
- Customer Communication: Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs, provide estimates, and explain repair processes.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed safely and in accordance with local building codes and regulations.
Requirements:
· Valid general handyman license issued by USA.
· Proven experience as a licensed handyman, preferably in a maintenance or facilities management role.
· Need you to have your own tools and transportation with a valid driver's license.
· Proven experience in a handyman or maintenance role, with broad knowledge across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
· Good communication and customer service skills.
