We are seeking a highly driven and inquisitive individual to participate in a cutting-edge cell biology research program in the Chemical Senses in New York City. The successful candidate will support a project exploring the signal transduction pathway involved in olfaction.
Our standard working hours are Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Your key responsibilities
- Prepare DNA from bacterial cell culture
- Perform cell-based experiments in mammalian cell lines
- Analyze and interpret experimental data
- Participate in lab meetings and discussions to inform future experimental design
- Maintain concise and accurate laboratory records
- Maintain high safety standards within the lab

You bring
- Currently working on completion of a Bachelor's degree in related field (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and math) and have completed at least two full years of undergraduate studies or graduate school prior to the start of the internship
- Candidates must be available to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) for 12 weeks beginning on June 3, 2024 - August 23, 2024
- Basic molecular and cellular biology skills (sterile tissue culture experience a plus)
- Spreadsheet and word processing efficiency
- Enthusiastic and intellectually curious individuals
- Individuals who are highly organized and team and solution focused
