Manager, Global Deal Desk is a critical, highly specialized position that manages, facilitates, supports, structures, reviews and helps to gain approval for highly complex deals. Collaborating with the global functions, you will optimize and standardize the deal-making process, enhance efficiencies and ensure that deals are structured correctly for alignment to all global strategic sales goals and internal contracting/deal requirements.
You will provide expert guidance on complex deal scenarios and pricing strategies to develop innovative deal structures that meet customer needs, including helping the Sales team effectively communicate value propositions to customers and creative solutions to overcome objections and close deals. This may include discounts, bundling, tiered/volume pricing, rebates, and special offers. The position reports to Sr. Manager, Global Operations & Business Intelligence.

Your key responsibilities
- Proposal Process Workflow/Quote/Proposal Preparation and Management, including Contract Review and Approval: Ensure that SOWs, Proposals, LOIs, other contracts, pricing, quotes, and terms align with company policies and compliance requirements in the entire end-to-end deal management process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all deals.
- RFP, RFQ, and PMO Intake Process: Provide organizational support to ‘Request for Proposal’ (RFP) and/or ‘Request for Quote (RFQ)’ process including central coordination and communication across multiple teams to ensure delivery on timelines, frequent check ins, actions and assignments.
- Pricing and Discounting Strategy: Collaborating with commercial teams, ensure that pricing is aligned by strategy, regional market, and is competitive but still profitable for the company, and ensure conditions are within acceptable boundaries.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure that deals comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and legal standards. They mitigate risk by overseeing the approval process and ensuring contracts are structured appropriately.
- Analytics and Reporting: Provide insights and data analytics on deal trends, bottlenecks, pricing effectiveness, win rates, and sales performance, helping senior management make informed decisions on business strategy
- Cross-functional Collaboration & Deal Review: Collaborate with finance, legal, commercial, marketing, engineering, innovation, and customer success teams to ensure the deal terms are feasible, profitable, and beneficial to both the company and the customer.
This position is eligible for the dsm-firmenich Hybrid Working model, spending 2-3 days per week in office and the balance of the work week in a home office. A remote location in the eastern or central time zones may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

You bring
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, SOWs, or high-value contract related roles required
- Process orientation and ability to comprehend, communicate, and cohesively orchestrate complex business, technical and legal requirements, information and materials; experience with medical device industry a strong plus
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to ask qualifying questions to internal teams
- Ability to thrive and adapt creatively and successfully to constant change in a fast-paced and team-oriented global commercial environment
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
