The Manager, Maintenance and Facilitieis will be a major contributor in the role of “Maintain Plant” which is to define and execute the work process “Maintenance”, in-line with departmental objectives assuring availability of equipment at the required time supporting operations and all aspects of the dsm-firmenich's Biomedical site, keeping cost aligned with departmental budgets. They will also assure that products are of consistent and high quality by scheduling repairs, maintenance, calibration and installation of tooling & equipment.

Key Responsibillities:

• Contribute to developing the facilities and maintenance strategy and plan aligned to the manufacturing plan.
• Ensure that any installation is maintained in a technically sound, safe and environmentally acceptable manner, by complying with all DSM requirements, Manufacturing work processes and other relevant requirements and best practices.
• Responsible for overall repair and maintenance of facility and equipment to minimize down time, meet production requirements, and pass audits.
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts to ensure repairs can be made in an acceptable time frame.
• Develops and Updates Department SOPs as needed.
• Ensures availability for after hours and weekend maintenance issues.
• Set targets and Key Performance Indicators and ensure adequate management reporting of the performance of the maintenance and facilities groups.
• Select, manage, coach and develop staff, in line with DSM values and HR requirements and procedures.

You Bring:

• Previous experience in a GMP biotech/pharmaceutical/food environment preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance with 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with Facility systems and associated plant operations (Boilers, Chillers Cooling tower, Substation, emergency generator, Un-interruptible power supplies, MCC panels and detailed electrical delivery equipment tools).
• Ability to execute the job within the applicable DSM, OSHA, EPA, ISO, FDA, CE, IBC, NEC & other requirements.
