As an HL7 Interface Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust healthcare system interfaces that connect clinical and financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Develop & Maintain HL7 Interfaces – Build high-performance, secure interfaces to enable seamless communication between healthcare systems.
- Drive Innovation – Implement FHIR & API integrations, enhancing real-time data exchange.
- Own the Interface Lifecycle – From design to deployment, ensure the integrity and efficiency of the Cloverleaf Engine.
- Solve Critical Issues – Troubleshoot integration challenges that impact clinical and financial workflows.
- Consult & Collaborate – Work with internal teams, vendors, and healthcare professionals to optimize interface functionality and performance.
- Enhance Security & Compliance – Ensure all integrations meet HIPAA & industry standards.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of HL7 interface development experience (working with healthcare IT integrations).
- FHIR & API integration expertise – Experience with real-time healthcare data exchange.
- Experience with Cerner FSI (preferred, but not required).
- Strong problem-solving skills – Ability to troubleshoot issues that impact clinical & financial data flow.
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills – Work cross-functionally with technical & non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexibility & Ownership – Able to adapt to evolving department needs and take initiative in a remote setting.
