Are you a finance professional with a passion for real estate? We’re looking for a skilled We are Property Financial Analyst - Multifamily to drive financial performance across our growing multifamily portfolio. This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with investor, lender, insurance, and tax requirements, and supporting the financial performance of our 1,500 unit multifamily portfolio. The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of multifamily or real estate portfolio accounting experience and a proactive approach to financial management, reporting, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for each property, collaborating with the asset management team to meet investment and performance objectives.
- Prepare lender draw requests, ensuring compliance with lender and property management requirements.
- Review monthly financial statements provided by third-party property managers, verify accurate categorization of expenses and income, and recommend actionable steps.
- Oversee the annual property budgeting process, comparing operations against budgets and proformas.
- Provide benchmarking data and financial insights for new investment opportunities.
- Manage insurance renewal dates, obtain competitive quotes, and audit coverage for compliance and timely payments.
- Monitor and manage property tax assessments, payments, abatements, and appeals.
- Coordinate timely payment of lender-required repairs and ensure compliance with lending agreements.
- Administer asset management fees, expense reimbursements, and quarterly investor distributions.
- Collaborate with the Chief Investment Officer in preparing cost segregation studies.
- Work closely with our accounting firm to provide data for tax returns, K-1s, and 1099s.
- Maintain compliance with SCC entity renewals and documentation, establishing new entities as needed.
- Provide weekly financial updates to partners, asset management, and investment teams.
