dSPACE is a leading provider of simulation and validation solutions worldwide for developing networked, autonomous, and electrically powered vehicles.
The company's range of end-to-end solutions are used particularly by automotive manufacturers and their suppliers to test the software and hardware components in their new vehicles long before a new model is allowed on the road.
We are looking for a motivated account manager for our Wixom, MI location. As an account manager, you will promote and sell dSPACE products and services within named set of automotive and related accounts.
Responsibilities include maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers as well as identifying and developing new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture customer relationships and create revenue generation opportunities by offering dSPACE products and services to all assigned accounts and opportunities.
- Be an ambassador, represent dSPACE within the customer organization, communicating the necessary information to successfully monitor and close the business opportunities.
- Keep an updated understanding of evolving automotive technology trends and communicate your customer needs with dSPACE engineering team in preparation to propose a suitable solution for their application.
- Develop adequate dSPACE products knowledge and prepare presentation material to present dSPACE offerings to customers based on their application needs.
- Create and execute account plans for the assigned set of accounts. Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve expected annual bookings targets.
- Position dSPACE as the key partner for your customer development project needs for simulation, testing, and validation.
- Represent and promote dSPACE products in the industry by participating in marketing events, Tradeshows and/or conferences.
- Collaborate with sales administration team to properly and timely respond to customers quotation inquiries, updating every step of sales progress in CRM and completing the sales cycle.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's or equivalent degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
- At least 5 years experience selling complex software solutions to automotive accounts or a closely related industry.
- Demonstrated success managing a territory or large accounts and experience working with application engineers and sales support resources.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction and have the ability to travel within the US as well as internationally.
