We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse. Duties
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload products from trucks and containers.
- Move materials within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and storage of inventory.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of orders for shipment by picking items accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain workflow and address any operational issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery in a busy environment.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator and a Forklift Certification in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP system
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 lbs) as required.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately pick orders using order pickers or similar equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
