SUMMARY
The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist is devoted to all facets of IT systems, computer set-up, installation, troubleshooting, service, upgrades, and maintenance. This position will perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of company's systems. The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist must be knowledgeable in all aspects of computer support, and be diligent, analytical and team focused. The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist works directly with the customer/end-user offering advice, training, support and guidance. The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist must be flexible to perform occasional on-call duty or tasks/support required during early morning/early evening hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hardware or software issues and install updates or applications
* Provide global Remote User support for IMS "local" issues
* Provide internal customer service support and end-user training via phone, internet and in-person
* Act as link between end users and higher level IT support
* Document system performance, bugs, debugging, and program requirements
* Document new processes and maintain existing written procedures
* Maintain IT assets lists up to date for all employees
* Maintain and support local hardware (Computers, Printers, Phones, Badges and Office sensors)
* Assist with maintenance of the computer network and database
* Follow maintenance protocols to ensure systems are secure and ready for users
* Initiate new hire account user support from all aspects including hardware, software, new account set up, and collaboration with HR
* New employees IT orientation training
* Collaborate with HR and Quality to provide termed employee support including termination of account and receipt of equipment
* Institute protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects
* Support facilities via suite maintenance by generating repair tickets and troubleshooting local issues
* Coordinate performance maintenance activities (e.g. backups)
* Collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality
* Assist with coordination of contractors and equipment/resource allocation
* Assist with design and deployment of servers, directories, wireless, backups, and personal devices.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
* Education and industry work experience with a high school diploma/GED
* 2-4 years of IT experience in IT Support or similar role
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
* Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer related issues
* Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
* Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
* Great accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Self-Motivated, energetic, and able to perform with minimal supervision
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment
* Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and projects
* Ability to balance both administrative and technical tasks flawlessly
COMPUTER SKILLS
* Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications
* Experience with development software
* Experience with ERP's (SAP, Oracle, etc.) or Inventory Systems (WMS, Purchasing Software)
* Intermediate to Advanced level in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook and Teams.
* Experience with Active Directory/Active Roles is a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
English (verbal, reading, writing)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* COMPTIA certification or equivalent
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. The employee also regularly lifts and/or moves computer equipment/objects up to 30 pounds and may crawl or climb into tight spaces to connect network cable. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $27.00 - $36.50 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
