The Insurance Specialist is a member of the US Shared Services Payroll & Benefits team with a focus on providing support in the administration of DSV’s employee Health & Welfare benefit plans. The Benefits Administratoive Assistant will use proficient organization and communication skills to coordinate with various departments, teams, and vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct new hire benefit orientation and other Health & Welfare benefit plan-related presentations for the employee population.
- Prepare and distribute Benefit & Wellness communications.
- Prepare benefit verification letters as requested by employees.
- Review and resolve company benefits-related email inquiries
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Spanish-speaking population.
- Audit employee and dependent demographic information, benefit coding, and documentation in ADP.
- Participate in the coordination and review of various benefit enrollments, life events, and internal transfers.
- Serve as backup with the review and resolution of system benefit integration errors.
- Serve as backup for the daily department mail distribution.
- Cross-train with other benefits team members to provide support and coverage during absences as needed.
- Assist with special projects and annual benefits open enrollment.
- Prepare Benefit reports as needed.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance personnel as needed.
- Additional special assignments when needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a broad array of Health & Welfare benefit plans with acute attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Strong work ethic and team player.
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
- Bilingual is preferred (Spanish & English)
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
- Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
For this position, the expected base pay is: $26.44 - $31.25 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
