Media and Marketing Director – Cutting-Edge Sports Industry
Position Details
- Location: Remote with on-site work 4-5 times per year (approximately one week each time)

We are a leading, innovative company in the sports industry seeking a dynamic and creative Media and Marketing Director to elevate our social media and marketing campaigns. Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Manage and grow our presence on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other social platforms.
- Create and execute a strategy for building and maintaining a YouTube channel.
- Develop and grow an email marketing list; send out engaging campaigns 1–3 times per month.
- Create innovative campaigns to drive engagement, grow our audience, and increase event signups.
Event Marketing & Coordination
- Promote events through digital campaigns, creative strategies, and live updates.
- Attend events on-site 4 times per year to handle live social media updates, interviews, and video content.
- Work closely with videographers and photographers, hiring talent when needed.
- Recruit and manage volunteers to support the media side of events.
Content Creation & Live Channel Development
- Build and manage a live channel for events featuring interviews, race updates, and educational content.
- Collaborate with sponsors to create engaging, on-brand content.
- Oversee the creation of videos and photos, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with the brand.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with the leadership team to align marketing efforts with business goals.
- Collaborate with creative teams and external vendors as needed.
- Take ownership of projects, from concept to execution, with a self-starter mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in marketing and social media management.
- Strong understanding of social media engagement strategies and audience growth techniques.
- Ability to develop creative content ideas and campaigns.
- Proficiency in video and photography equipment, or willingness to learn.
- Experience working on live events or managing on-site marketing campaigns.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
- Understanding of email marketing platforms and campaign management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the sports industry or similar event-driven industries.
- Familiarity with live-streaming platforms and building live video channels.
- Knowledge of sponsor relations and branded content creation.
- Basic video editing and content production skills.
