Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop a plan of care for patients who present to the Emergency Department.
- Triaging patient utilizing the appropriate ESI level.
- Initiate treatment(s), medications, emergency, and resuscitative measures based on appropriate standards of Emergency care.
- Consult the attending provider and collaborate in developing a multidisciplinary approach to provision of care.
- Maintain professional knowledge and proficiency in unit specific nursing knowledge and practices through continuing education and required certifications.
- Participate in the development of updating and evaluating the standards of care and monitoring quality improvements.
Certification Requirements: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS and/or ENPC
About the Job:
This position requires a minimum of three (3) years Emergency Department experience with at least two (2) years of Level III Trauma experience. Charge Nurse duties as needed for flow of patient care. Shifts are 36/48 hours and subject to rotation (day/evening/night), weekend and holiday schedule.
