We are an established truck & trailer repair company in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago looking to hire a service advisor to help serve as a liaison between the customer and technicians.

We are looking for a Service Advisor to join our team at Diamond Truck & Trailer. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer relationship skills, strong service advisor capabilities, and previous service advisor experience. We are an established truck & trailer repair company in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago looking to hire a service advisor to help serve as a liaison between the customer and technicians.
Responsibilities
- Schedule needed service on trucks and trailers for customers
- Ask customers to describe the problem in detail. Capture customers name, contact detail, VIN, and unit number
- Make sure keys are accounted for and placed with vehicle
- Open service orders - write up driver's complaint and verify if necessary
- Contact customer for repair authorization and document it
- Add and update conditions as informed by lead technician/foreman
- Inform customers of completed repair and record on service order
- Check the progress of repairs throughout the day and advise customer of target completion
- Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance
- Answer customer phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner
- Demonstrate solid organizational skills
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
- At least two years of experience as a service advisor is required.
- Familiarity with diesel engine/tractor and trailer repair
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with computers and ability to learn multiple softwares
- Looking to hire day shift - hours ranging from 6AM - 4:30 PM
