We have a great opportunity for part time food service workers - One Year Contract - Federal Facility.
Looking at May start date depending on background and credentialing clearance.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is to provide food service work with the Dietary department to cook and prepare food for patients in the hospital requiring special diets or general care. The food service worker will:
- Work in the Dietary kitchen helping in the preparation, presentation and serving of food to patients
- Assist in wrapping food and drink for cleanliness and safe transportation to patient areas.
- Prepare ingredients and follow routine steps to make various foods, including specific diets such as low sodium food preparation.
- Clean counters and trays.
- Wash dishes manually and or machine wash.
- Maintain cleanliness in preparation, work areas, by wiping counters, cleaning floors, proper storage of food, containers, and food handling practices * Inspect and clean equipment
- Receive and unload trucks
- Take stock
- Meet special orders or unusual food requests This need will be fulfilled by four (4) part-time food service workers:
- 4 – part-time Food Service Workers The Dietary Department is open 7 days a week including nights and federal holidays. The hours of work will be assigned by the Dietary Supervisor with mutual assent of the food service worker. Flexibility in scheduling is required.
