Job Description
DTC Workforce Programs, in partnership with Ruskin Manufacturing, is looking for hardworking experienced Machine Operators to join our manufacturing fabrication team at Ruskin in Parsons, KS. General manual work involving dexterity, lifting and the ability to follow directions for performing machine operating tasks on brake press and turrets is needed. Experience is a plus, but not necessary as we will train motivated people! WORK IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ENVIRONMENT!
Job Summary:
We are hiring for brake press machine operators for our 2nd shift. Machine operators must be able to operate brake press/turret machines to shape various types of metal. In this role you may inspect blueprints for a project, set up your machine, perform regular maintenance, inspect metal while shaping it and make adjustments as needed. Brake press/turret operators often monitor supply levels, check the final products to ensure they are free of defects and ensure work areas are clean and organized. Must be flexible and available to work overtime or move between shifts for training and/or coverage purposes. This role would be great for anyone who wants to make the most of their abilities and grow with a family-oriented company.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Basic computer operating skills.
Ability to reach and interpret blueprints with 3-dimensional drawings, where some dimensions have to be calculated.
Ability to read, communicate and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
