Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both commercial and industrial settings.
Hours: 8AM-12PM (could fluctuate by 30 minutes)
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
- Manage custodial duties in a industrial style environment, ensuring all spaces are clean and well-maintained.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of the facility.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste materials and maintain cleanliness in waste disposal areas.
- Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a safe environment.
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is an advantage.
- Proficiency in floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple tasks.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
