We are seeking a visionary leader to take the helm as Executive Director of Technology Research & Innovation, with a primary focus on Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies strategy. This role is not just about staying ahead of the curve; it’s about defining the curve. From piloting groundbreaking AI initiatives to building the foundational enterprise-wide AI platform, you will be at the forefront of innovation. Your leadership will span across vendor selection, industry-wide hackathons, innovation showcases, premier academic partnerships, and thought leadership through high-impact publications and speaking engagements

Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategic leadership: Spearhead the ongoing, iterative development of a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns with DTCC’s long-term goals that drives measurable business value.
- Pilots: Lead the design and assessment of AI & Emerging tech pilots, partner with the execution team to deliver pilots that push the boundaries of what is possible at DTCC, translating sophisticated problems into actionable, scalable solutions.
- AI Platform development: Partner with select vendors and the execution team to ensure delivery of a robust, enterprise-wide AI platform that serves as the backbone for all AI-related initiatives across DTCC.
- Academic partnerships: Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with premier academic institutions, ensuring we remain at the leading edge of AI research and development.
- Innovation showcases: Organize and lead industry-wide hackathons and innovation showcases that highlight our projects and industry projects.
- Thought Leadership: Establish yourself and DTCC as leaders with vision in AI by authoring influential publications, participating in global forums, and speaking at key industry events.
- Team development: Build, mentor and inspire an impactful team. Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a proven track record of leading high-impact projects and teams.
- Master’s degree preferred with a focus in computer science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
