As an Operational Risk Senior Associate at DTCC, you will be part of a positive, supportive, and highly collaborative team that works with every major business area and support function across the firm. You will be subject to a wide range of ambitious and exciting projects and your day-to-day deliverables will be shared with the highest levels of the organization, including the Board Risk Committee and Supervisory Regulators.
Operational Risk establishes protocols for analyzing, reporting, advancing, and mitigating operational risks. Op Risk leads and drives initiatives that strengthen risk management capabilities across the organization. In this role, the Op Risk Senior Associate will support the following functions and programs:
- Operational Risk reporting: managing and improving the existing portfolio of Power BI dashboards for operational monitoring, critical issues, and management reporting
- Tools & Automation: developing internal tools and capabilities to making existing processes more efficient, using automated software tools where possible
- Data Management: crafting data integrity processes to monitor data quality, and maintaining effective documentation of existing reports and tools

Your Primary Responsibilities:- Collect and disseminate other Operational Risk monthly Board and management reports as needed
- Reassess existing processes and build new ones that most effectively anticipate, manage, and reduce risk
- Build and maintain relationships with the Subject Matter Experts across the organization
- Own the sophisticated analytics processes and business intelligence reporting for Operational Risk functions, including Operational Risk Profiles, Operational Incidents, Management Control Testing, Risk Acceptances, and Governance Risk & Control (GRC) reporting
- Manage the Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) infrastructure and processes for redefining data
- Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures such as automation through scripting, programming, etc.
- Create interactive reports and use visualizations to improve executive decision making
- As a strong individual-contributor, act as a SME on technology tools and be responsible for collaborating with fellow technology teams to deliver solutions
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a reporting, business intelligence, or data analysis role is preferred.
- A background in the financial industry is preferred
- Bachelor's degree required, Masters or certification a plus
- Experience creating well-rounded dashboards and reporting to executives is highly desirable
- Business Intelligence (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc) required
- Robotic Process Automation skills (Blue Prism, Power Automate, etc) are a plus
- Proficient with SQL, data analysis, and sophisticated Microsoft Office capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to deliver rapid prototypes and proofs of concepts to drive innovation
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required
- A self-starter with strong business judgment, problem-solving, and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy is required
- Strong relationship leadership skills
