Key Accountabilities
- Develops renewable energy project scope and coordinates a team of specialists who provide project schedule, cost estimates and engineering specifications for capital projects.
- Ensures the initiation and completion of engineering, design, installation, testing, commissioning into service and project closeout.
- Supports daily management of on-site construction activities, working with the general contractor or multiple contractors and service providers.
- Responsible for renewable project expenditures and the cost-effective procurement of labor, equipment, and materials: coordinates with authorized company representatives in conducting bid meetings and reviews, supplier selections and evaluations; determines contracting strategy congruent with labor utilization strategies.
- Communicates renewable project status to all stakeholders. Engages appropriate stakeholders in decisions and ensures a clear understanding of direction and expectations.
- Responsible for meeting key performance metrics associated with project scope, schedule and budget.
- Manage and control project risks and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensures compliance with safety, environmental and other regulatory requirements.
- Interfaces with internal organizations, , suppliers, general contractors, building trades labor organizations/unions etc. and support contract administration services or vendors.
- Supports obtaining regulatory approval for the construction and operation of new renewable energy projects required.

This is a multi-track base requirement job; education and experience requirements can be satisfied through one of the following three options:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, construction management, project management, or business/management and 4 years of project management experience.
- Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture/technical design, project management, business/management, construction management, or construction technology and 6 years of project management experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of project management experience.
Other Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Experience supporting renewable energy projects such as wind, solar, and energy storage capital projects.
- Utility or large-scale construction experience
- Traveling is required up to 20% of the time.
- Experienced with P6 Primavera
- Analysis of metrics on project deadlines, budgets, and deliverables
- Experience presenting strategic plans to all levels of leadership, including senior leaders.
- Hands on experience in managing renewable energy projects or large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in handling projects involving multi-disciplinary teams and many stakeholders
