What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Protection Technician position at DTE Fire Protection?
```Duties```
- Install, inspect, and maintain fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers, alarms, Kitchen suppression systems includes ansul, pyrochem etc
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire protection equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Respond to emergency calls while on-call
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement fire safety plans and protocols
- Provide training and education to staff on fire prevention and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
```Qualifications```
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Strong knowledge of fire codes, regulations, and safety procedures
- Experience in the installation, inspection, and maintenance of fire protection systems is a plus
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints is a plus
-kitchen ansul inspection, fire alarm and sprinkler inspections is a plus
- Familiarity with CAD software for designing fire protection systems is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work well under pressure in emergency situations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
