Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Night/Weekend and Daytime Dispatchers to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient dispatching, coordinating towing and hauling runs, and maintaining communication with drivers and clients. This position requires strong analytical skills and familiarity with towing and hauling processes.
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule the transportation of goods and materials
- Utilize GPS and GIS systems to track and monitor the location of vehicles when necessary
- Communicate with drivers and logistics team to ensure timely delivery
- Analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize routes and improve efficiency
- Dispatch drivers to assigned locations
- Enter data into the company's system
- Maintain detailed shift reports for management
Experience
- Proficiency in towing dispatch systems prefered
- Familiarity with fleet management practices and protocols.
- Previous experience in a dispatcher role or related field is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data for decision-making purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
