We are looking for a Commodities Generalist to join our team in Bothell, WA. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is looking to start a career in sales and has a passion for learning, customer engagement and prospecting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter, track and update pricing as needed.
- Work closely with commodities buyers within DTG.
- Enter, schedule and cancel loads/work orders for all company commodities sales in our system and with vendors.
- Reconcile and track loads for our various commodity partners.
- Enter CSA and other critical information to ensure the successful creation and setup of new accounts, assisting outside sales team with commodity related accounts.
- Verify data accuracy by comparing entries with source documents; correct errors as needed.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to the leadership team for assigned area of specialization.
- Respond promptly to inquiries regarding entered data.
- Collaborate with the Credit and Collections Team on account-related matters.
- Update and maintain CRM systems, ensuring all activities, notes, and required details are recorded accurately.
- Follow written guidelines for securely handling confidential information.
- Build rapport quickly through effective communication in phone calls, email subject lines, and other interactions.
- Demonstrate strong reasoning, sound judgment, listening skills, resourcefulness, and follow-through.
- Work independently or collaboratively on assigned projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods.
- Capability to adhere to an assigned work schedule.
- Strong multitasking skills, including typing on a computer while answering calls.
- Ability to work in environments with moderate noise and temperature levels.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, and walking for up to 10 hours a day.
- Occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, or perform other physical tasks as needed.
- Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Strong attention to detail.
