We are looking for qualified audiovisual technicians with live event experience in both in-person and VIRTUAL/HYBRID spaces. Prior experience in AV rental/services background required. This position requires technical aptitude in video projection, sound reinforcement, and general stage lighting— largely within a hotel setting. Must be able to coordinate set-up, operation, and strike of audiovisual equipment. Must be committed to daily communication with other employees through email and phone.
The position also requires exceptional customer service skills, the ability to create and maintain healthy work relationships and exercise outstanding communication skills. Must be highly motivated, able to problem solve, flexible, mitigate situations under stress and thrive in the evolving post-pandemic live events model.
PREREQUISITES
* Proper set up and tear down of audio and video equipment, including but not limited to:
Fast-fold screens, LCD Projectors, Stage Lighting, Sound Reinforcement Systems, Video Switcher/Scalers, etc…
* Virtual Event Technology experience required
* Able to match customer needs with equipment that best suits their request
* Responsible for the safety and security of company assets
* Load/unload audio and video equipment from trucks
* Must read, interpret and execute job flow sheet process
* Technical aptitude in video, audio, and lighting
* Effective telephone communication with internal and external customers
* Troubleshoot equipment failures during customer meetings
* Positive & effective interaction with customers & co-workers
* Must be flexible & available for evening and weekend events when required
***This position will oversee and execute setup, operation, and takedown of sophisticated audiovisual equipment for business meetings, events, trade shows, receptions, conventions, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:* 2 years audio-video set-up and tear-down experience; prior Hotel Audio Visual experience a plus
* PC & Mac proficiency
* Able to regularly lift 35# overhead, unassisted. Climb ladders
