The Product Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of merchandise plans and forecasts for specific categories. This includes analyzing historical sales data, current inventory levels, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze historical data and current trends to identify opportunities and risks, and develop action plans to mitigate inventory issues and maximize profitability.
- Work closely with Senior Merchandise Planners, Directors, and Divisional Merchandise Managers to align plans and forecasts with business objectives.
- Develop and present weekly and monthly reports to senior management on merchandise performance, including sales, margin, and inventory analysis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports to support business decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in related buying or planning roles, or 3-5 years with a mix of buying, planning, and placement responsibilities.
- Strong merchandising, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing demands.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
