Job Summary:

The Structural Steel Graphics Technician assists in creating and modifying structural steel drawings. This role supports the modeling team by cleaning details and producing files using SDS2 software. The Technician ensures the details meet dtl’s and Amfabsteel's standards and project specifications while maintaining organized project documentation. This position is ideal for individuals with intermediate computer skills who are looking to advance their career in steel detailing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Graphic Design and Modification:
• Assist in the creation and modification of structural steel drawings and files used for fabrication and erection using SDS2 software.
• Design Compliance:
• Ensure all details meet dtl’s and Amfabsteel standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
• Documentation Management:
• Maintain organized records of all drawings and project documentation.
• Support the team with various tasks to ensure smooth project workflows.
• Support and Collaboration:
• Provide support to the team with various tasks as needed.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Intermediate computer skills are required.
• Familiarity with SDS2 software is a plus but not required.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• SDS2 software for structural steel graphics and drawings.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

· Communication tools (e.g., email, phone systems).

• Bluebeam

Work Environment:

• Office environment with exposure to structural steel design processes.
• Availability for flexible work hours to accommodate project deadlines and requirements.

Quality Control:

• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all drawings.
• Maintain up-to-date and organized project documentation.

Performance Metrics:

• Timeliness and accuracy of completed drawings and graphics.
• Adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
• Efficiency in supporting team workflows and maintaining documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
