Job Title : Regional Facilities Manager Reports to : Director of Facilities Company Overview DTN is a 50 year old vertically integrated real estate firm based in Lansing, MI. Through our development and operations team, DTN seeks to create and deliver unique experiences for those choosing a DTN home or apartment. As the Regional Facilities Manager, you will influence and guide the experience for those that visit a DTN owned or managed community. Job Summary The Regional Facilities Manager, through DTN’s Core Values, leads and is responsible for guiding a team of staff by providing all required training materials and the standard operational procedures that are needed to support the field teams. Their duties include operations and management, training, compliance management, budget management, facility planning, capital improvements, and building system maintenance adherence As the Regional Facilities Manager, your primary responsibilities include : Reports to the Director of Facilities while coordinating with ownership and Facilities team members, to ensure all property teams have the tools and training needed to keep assets maintained to DTN highest standards. Partners with and supports the Operations and Asset Management leadership teams, with clear and concise data and recommendations. Creates, implements and completes required property inspections to ensure that all properties within the portfolio are maintained to the highest standards and meet all safety and licensing protocols. Coordinates and conducts regular training with the Area Facilities Managers to prepare their ability to support and meet the needs of the communities within the portfolio. Provides innovative and cost effective solutions for maintenance needs, building repairs and property challenges as necessary. In coordination with the Area Facility Managers, interfaces with vendors to ensure the highest quality of work, adherence to schedule and compliance within the approved scope of work. Creates training programs that train on scope of work and bid packages for maintenance needs and capital projects. Creates and maintains Facilities Standard Operating Procedures as needed to maintain all assets and communities to the DTN standards Occasional overnight travel to properties within assigned portfolio. Position requires walking and standing 80% of the time, ability to lift over 50 lbs. and ability to complete manual labor as may be required. Core Candidate Qualities : College degree or equivalent job experience with formal training in facilities management required. Minimum 5 years of experience supervising facilities in a diverse portfolio, including residential homes, detached multi family structures, high rise multifamily structures and commercial properties. Proficient in all of the building systems and chemicals used to maintain residential and commercial properties, along with landscaping Proficient at interpreting and applying local building codes and ordinances. Experience preparing bid packages, selecting contractors and managing large capital projects. Experience managing multiple work teams over a large geographical area. Experience working with a diverse group of professionals at all levels of an organization and / or municipalities.
