About the Role:
We are seeking an Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. This position reports to the Bookkeeper and will work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting or related field
- 1 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist with month-end close procedures
- Prepare financial reports as needed
Skills:
The Assistant Bookkeeper I will use their strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. They will also utilize their proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software to maintain financial records and prepare reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be beneficial in this role, as the Assistant Bookkeeper I will be responsible for assisting with month-end close procedures and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This is a 40-hour-per-week job with a mandatory one-hour lunch break each day.
