Job Summary
As our Business Analyst, you are responsible for analyzing business operations requirements. You will assess our current practices, collect information, and analyze industry trends to determine program objectives. You will design new projects and programs by analyzing State Department requirements and make recommendations to improve current systems. You will prepare technical reports, summarizing information and trends, and perform other duties as assigned.
In accordance with a U.S. State Department memo dated February 14, 2025, all employees are directed to return to the office full-time no later than March 17th, 2025. This also applies to new hires.
What you will do as a Business Analyst:
- Lead change management projects and continuous improvement exercises in support of our government customer and the program’s mission
- Provide advice, assistance, guidance, research, and technical support in support of our government customer and program’s mission
- Work independently with direction or collaboratively. Collect and analyze data and evaluation activities, thus contributing to and presenting research findings in report form. May include but not be limited to analyzing complex problems, monitoring tasks and schedules
- Work closely with various stakeholders, internally and externally, and communicate complicated requirements
- Review and edit written documents generated by others and communicate/work cooperatively with others
- Perform various administrative tasks as required to include creating written summaries and reports and maintaining meticulous logs and records
- Comply with all appropriate legal and regulatory requirements when reporting and to the requesting organization while relating all facts accurately with a high-quality standard
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or three (3) or more years of hands-on experience performing administrative, analytical, and project management functions
- U.S. citizenship
- An extraordinary level of attention to detail
- Microsoft Office and Google Chrome proficiency
- Must demonstrate ability, tenacity, and patience to follow detailed procedures
- Always display a professional demeanor, regardless of the circumstance
- Must demonstrate written communication skills sufficient to explain actions taken and how recommendations were derived
- Demonstrate written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team environment
- Ability to evaluate incoming reports and information
- Ability to identify relevant data sources to clarify or corroborate investigative or operational intelligence community initiatives
- Ability to access information, analyze and interpret information from a variety of classified and open-source databases
- Ability to evaluate information using good judgment and decision making
You must also successfully complete a comprehensive 7-year criminal and credit history background check as a part of the hiring process.

Work Environment:
You will primarily work in an office environment but may be required to work in other work environments as well, such as a home office or other location.
