As an Operations Supervisor, you train and guide our staff supporting the important work we do at the KCC. You work in one of several functional areas overseeing day-to-day operations, keeping quality at an optimal level, and making sure our people are aware of performance expectations and are up to date on their training. You are an integral part of our peoples’ work experience, which translates to a smoother immigration process for those trying to legally come to live, work, or study in America. As Operations Supervisor:
- You supervise, direct, train, and assist our staff in performing applicable support functions as it relates to your assigned functional area.
- You oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure the work performed in your functional area meets optimum quality standards.
- You provide procedures and retraining to employees as needed.
- You use your independent judgement to assign work to employees based on site needs to meet production or quality objectives.
- You work with the Operations Manager and the Assistant Operations Manager to ensure functional area deliverables are turned in on time.
- You track progress of all your functional area’s activities and adjust achieve objectives and report the status of progress to the Unit Manager or Assistant Operations Manager as appropriate.
- You manage the progressive discipline process within your functional area and make recommendations for promotions and terminations as necessary.
- You initiate performance reviews for employees within your area of responsibility.
- You interview and assess applicants and make recommendations for candidate selection.
- You train new employees and conduct refresher training for existing employees.
- You ensure that the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility are used, understood, and kept up to date.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience (in a production environment preferred).
- 3 years of VSS program experience may be considered in lieu of supervisory experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent (associate's degree or higher preferred).
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to successfully complete a corporate background investigation, including credit and criminal checks.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government secret security clearance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate a professional work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
- Analytical skills to successfully analyze and evaluate data.
- Ability to disseminate information to a wide audience.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to stand; walk; sit; lift; bend; reach; carry; stoop; kneel; use hand and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; speak; or hear.
- Specific vision abilities may be required to perform the job which may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, or the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Primarily an office environment but may also include other work environments as required
- Full-time position, Monday - Friday
