Production Operator, Molding and Trim
The molding and trimming operator is responsible for maintaining production, quality performance levels, and the efficient use of manufacturing equipment in accordance with his/her knowledge and training in conformance with established Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice.
Your Responsibilities

- Operates manual and semi-automatic compression molding/trimming machines in accordance with SOP’s and WI’s to produce molded sheets of varied products from preform rubber compounds in accordance to productivity standards. Preforms Pre-control on rubber compounds in accordance to productivity standards.
- Adheres to all safety rules in accordance with SOP’s, GMP as well as federal, state and local safety regulations. Expected to demonstrate our Company values and Code of Conduct.
- Regular attendance and punctuality required in order to meet production needs of customers. Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary).
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to quality. Works conscientiously and accurately, recognizes details. Identifies problems in time and strives to solve them. Observes rules and instructions. Collaborates on DPS initiatives for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities Continued
- Work under the guidance of Supervisor or Crew Leader to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
- Ensures that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition and work area is clean, safe and organized.
- Set-up and operate production molding presses and trimmers in accordance to specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommends improvements.
- Duly follows organizational and work specific instructions, attends applicable trainings and meetings.
- Fulfils tasks efficiently and in due course. Meets productivity standards (where defined). Can organize and perform work effectively. Sets priorities correctly.
- Abides by safety regulations at all times. Promotes safety standards at work place and in the team. Identifies potential safety risks and reports them actively to line manager.
- Demonstrates initiative to exceed a common performance. Flexibly adopts changes in tasks, work place, or team. Works reliably, keeps agreements. Assumes responsibility for tasks entrusted.

Your Profile
- High school diploma
- One month, in plant training - TQM, SPC, GMO, SOP’s, in conjunction with;
- Six months on the job training
- Ability to speak, read and write English in order to understand operating and other related procedures and to complete all position related documentation.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills.
- Performs basic computer skills
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous manufacturing experience in a regulated environment

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to elements including environmental heat and high heat from moving mechanical parts, small parts may be encountered on the floor, and dust particles may float in the air. Work is done in both office space and in the plant where safety is a critical concern. PPE must be worn.

The Mold/Trim Crew must stand for prolonged periods of time and frequently walk up and down stairs. Must lift up to 35 lbs, carry, push, and pull up to 10 lbs and gripping of 20 lbs. Operators will also climb to retrieve rubber sheets and clean in high areas above machinery. Operators will experience substantial movements (motions) of arms, hands, wrists, and/or fingers. Operators must pass a vison test (with or without corrective lenses) as all work involves sharpness of different types as well as depth perception, color and field. The operator must have a variety of eye and hand range, i.e. use of scales, color template, labels, read dials or controls, movement of material, etc. Must wear proper personal protective equipment to include but not limited to gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety glasses, gowning, etc.
