Job Description:
The intern will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of all Düable LLC political clients. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in political campaigns, grassroots organizing, voter outreach, communications, and policy research. The intern will assist campaign staff in various tasks essential to running a successful campaign.
Key Responsibilities:
- Voter Outreach: Participate in community engagement and outreach efforts to inform and mobilize voters.
- Event Support: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of campaign events, town halls, and kickoffs.
- Communications & Social Media: Help create content for social media platforms, draft newsletters, and other communications materials to engage supporters.
- Data Entry & Management: Maintain databases, track campaign progress, and ensure accurate data entry related to volunteer activity and outreach efforts.
- Policy Research: Conduct research on key policy issues, opposition candidates, and community concerns to help inform campaign messaging and strategy.
- Fundraising Assistance: Support campaign fundraising efforts by helping with donor outreach and data tracking.
Requirements:
- Passion for political campaigns, community service, and social change.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as required.
- Previous experience in political campaigns, community organizing, or related fields is a plus but not required.
- Must have a computer
