Our Hotel Operations Managers help keep our hotels running smoothly and make sure all our guests are safe and comfortable. You will be responsible for hiring, training, and overseeing the front desk staff and operations to make sure that brand and management standards are met and exceeded. Our goal is to create a unique guest experience while providing excellence in customer service. The Hotel Operations Manager will report to the General Manager and assist in other operational departments as needed.
Every day is different, but here is the scope of job responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, and train front desk associates and provide new implementations in procedures and policies
- Recommend or initiate any HR related actions when needed
- Manage everyday activities, plan and assign work ensuring you appropriate staff coverage for each shift
- Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for them - recognize good performance
- Train staff to insure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect and have the tools they need to work efficiently
- Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create sense unity
- Assist other managers in the development and communication of departmental strategies and goals. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management
- Work with other managers in the development, implementation and monitoring of financial and operational plans for the hotel
- Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure complete guest satisfaction
- Review and respond to guests' feedback, complaints or concerns in a prompt and professional manner and implement strategies for continuous improvement
- Communicate to appropriate departments all pertinent information requirements and special needs for arriving VIP’s, large groups, and other key guests
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with the hotel’s or owner’s policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager on duty

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively
- Knowledge of front desk operations and guest services
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are a plus
